A happy ending...(for now)

We interrupt the Academy Awards Red Carpet Show for this hair update...

I had to attempt to fix my hair on my own today. I have a lunch at my daughter's school tomorrow and I simply cannot show up with a hat or Lucille Ball hair! It's not perfect, but trust me, it's a HELL of alot better than 24 hours ago!

Don't I look angry
in these shots?
I'm still upset
about the
haircut I gave myself!

This is what I used to
cover up the orange.

I feel a little bit better now.
So I decided to smile for this shot.

Thanks to all who offered kind words, support and condolences. If you ever go through a beauty crisis, I promise to be there for you.

You won't be seeing any more photos on this blog until my hair grows a couple of inches, so BYE BYE Y'ALL!!

You did a GREAT job! When it's time to re-color my hair (probably a few weeks from now), I'm grabbing a couple boxes and heading your way! LOL!

I think it looks really good.

Good Job! The updated pictures were much orangier, YIKES!
Just an FYI Ash tones are green but on the color wheel red is across from green and helps cancel each other out. Always go for the ash if you don't want golden hair.
I hope you enjoy being a blond for a while.

You look fabulous, dahling! Good job with the color fix. I desperately need to color my hair, but I'm afraid to do it myself. Good thing I'm a kept woman, huh? ;o)

Oh, and TAG, you're it!

Your hair looks cute!

You are a brave gal. I would rather go a week without groceries rather than fore go a professional hair appt... but I'm quite shallow like that. And I would certainly find something in the freezer to feed my kids. I mean, I'm not cruel.

Nice hair color! My experiments in self-coloring always wound up that brassy red, so it's back to the salon for me.

Seriously, you can't skimp on that stuff - leave it to the professionals!

I learned my lesson long ago in college. I leave it to the pros now. My girlfriends and I used to color each other's hair all the time. It's a wonder mine didn't fall out it was so blond and we tried to put red highlights in one girl's hair and it turned out purple! It took quite a few boxes of dark brown to cover that up! You did a nice cover up job!! :)

WOW, you are amazing. Seriously. The new hair looks great. I give you huge props not only for doing it yourself but also for making it so much more to your liking. I would have just cried and made a hair appointment. Your way is much more admirable!

I recognize that color - have done it to myself a couple of times, too - your cover up looks great.

Another Jersey Mom here via Stacey's place ;o)
