State of Emergency

Help!! I'm trapped in a snowstorm with a house full of kids and no Diet Coke.

I'm seriously considering calling in the National Guard.

Please advise.

I'd drive to your local McDonalds and get some seriously large cups of Diet Coke. This requires no getting out of the car. If you're down for getting out of the car, I'd go to your food store and buy a few cases. Good luck and godspeed!

this is even lazier than the drive thru option but sometimes when i don't feel like leaving the house, i'll order take out and get sodas with that. try delivery.com. good luck!

I have same situation here in NY, but realized I don't have any coffee-yikes! I was seriously sweating and pacing until I remembered I had an extra pound of Godiva coffee saved for a present for a friend...I torn into that bag so fast!

Good luck- maybe the local pizzeria can deliver?

Lock yourself in your room with your ipod on full blast. Drown them out and let them kill each other. That's what I do!

Do you have a big field nearby, one flat enough for a helicopter? We can make an humanitarian aid drop. Need anything other than Diet Coke?

I don't know how you are doing it. I agree order pizza they have to come out in bad weather and throw several liters on order! Brillant idea Jenn!

I'd have to borrow from a neighbor or order a pizza with a liter bottle on the side.

Hope you find a FIX!

My husband got caught in the snowstorm this morning but fortunately he was able to drive out of it and headed toward Michigan.

Make them build them an igloo in your front yard?!

I imagine that being exhausting...

Or maybe have them WALK to a store to GET some Diet Coke?

Good luck!

I vote for sending the kids or hubby out to get it. Just remind them that if Mama ain't happy, no one will be happy!

I know that it's annoying and even potentially dangerous, but I would love someday to be able to say the words, "I'm trapped in a snowstorm" -- as long as we had plenty of coffee, heat, hot cocoa, books and chocolate-chip cookies. The most we get here in Alabama is maybe a couple days and then it's ice, which is not fun at all. So is it OK to be jealous of you a little bit? Thanks!
