Great news! My neighbors and I have formed a vigilante speeding enforcement group on our street.
If you visit in my town and speed down my street, be prepared to be hit with a wiffle ball, confronted directly by an angry housewife pursuing you on foot or, if we're REALLY mad, nailed with a soccer ball on your windshield.

You have been warned.

Yikes! What will you do for repeat offenders? ;)
*slows down*
I roll a ball down my driveway, they don't know if a child is behind it or not!
Nice.
Down in my neck of the woods, you can petition to have your road be a speed enforcement zone, which means speeding fines start at $200.
But I like your vigilante style better.
Sounds like you need some signs from this website:

This is the most awesome picture for this post. I'm seriously still cracking up!
I need to start this group in my neighborhood! The UPS guy takes the corners on 2 wheels!
Throw mudpies. That's what I did when I was little.
Got me in a teeeeny bit of trouble though.......
I love it! Hopefully you can wake some people up.
Fantastic. Go get 'em.
HA!! That is awesome!
I love it. We just yell at the drivers. Sometime even obscenities. Who would have thought women in New Jersey were more civil?!?
Good for you! I think we'll start the same group on my street. They're a yellow jeep that needs a soccer ball at his windshield!
Can you come to my street too and take care of this one speeding truck driven by a wild teenager that I swear is going to run over somebody one day????
That is too funny! Love the idea, I hate when people speed in neighborhoods, especially because there are lots of animals roaming around including mine.
Btw this post reminded me of another over at 15 minute Lunch, where the blogger talks about how his mom made her own speed bump in front of their house, in the middle of the night for speeders. Maybe you should try that too!
Love it. I'm not sure how I feel about the fact that I've become the crazy looking mom yelling at cars to slow down. I used to roll my eyes at that mom when I was a teenager (longer ago than I like to think.)
The wiffle ball is a great idea.
Sounds like a plan. People seriously need to slow down!
