I know, I was SO proud. Though it also makes me feel like I really should get off my almost-41-year-old ass and get some exercise for once. (But I think I'll toast her victory first. One must have priorities.)

i heard she has 2 people dedicated to her as stretchers. imagine that, having people who stretched you everyday.

My boys are competitive swimmers. I always say there is no way I could do what they do. Go DARA!!!! All the moms will be rooting for you!!!!!

I posted about her too. Loved watching the time trials. It's amazing to me that she is so competitive still. That's a lifetime of being competitive! Wonder what her 2 year old will turn out like. Can't wait for the olympics!

I loved watching her win this weekend. I was a collegiate swimmer and was competing in college the same time she was. I can't even imagine staying in top condition like that all these years. Did you notice when they showed her doing the turn and push off at the wall that she swam sideways under water instead of face down? That's the old school way from the 1980s and obviously it still works for her. Can't wait to watch her in Beijing!

I wish I had a quarter of her energy. Maybe I will use this as incentive to exercise. (or not)
I left something for you on my blog.
