How in the world does Serena Williams play tennis with those ginormous earrings?!
I would be so focused on my stretching earlobes I wouldn't be able to hit the ball. I guess to be a true champion AND a fashionista, you have to have lobes of steel!

I probably couldn't even walk in those earrings. Though I managed to in the '80's. Are the '80's back?
hat has always bewildered me. there is this lady who is head to toe in louis vuitton jewelry to play. she has this beautiful charm bracelet from there and i've always admired it and finally went to look at the fucking thing alone without charms was like 2k. SOooooo, i put on my Cheapo Tiffany's charm bracelet (in comparison come on, it's like getting it at the dollar store in LV dollars) and the first time I swung the charms were jiggling away and took it off before the first point was over. it's annoying. I only play with my watch and wedding band. Oh and my pearl stud earrings of course. :)
quick question. Do you wear any earrings when you play? I noticed years and years ago when I started playing that all the ladies wear big diamond studs. So I conformed, and I do too. Anyway, now in my new town I noticed they are still sporting those big diamonds. Personally, I play too hard. I would rather wear no jewelry. But, like I said up there, I conform... So what do you wear?
Okay, I have absolutely nothing to add on the tennis thing. Just linked over from Lane Boyz Mom and I think this blog is gorgeous. I'll definitely be back to check you out a bit more (it's the 4th so we have to get ready for revelry).
Yesterday I sat with my 83 year old Uncle and watched the women's final between the Williams Sisters. My question to him, "Don't those earrings hurt?" Needless to say, he didn't have an answer for me!
It was a great match to watch. I need to play me some tennis this week while the kids are finally in camp!
Lemme just say, in case I haven't said this before, that Tennis Tuesday is the highlight of my week. Seriously, your blog is one of the only one's that I read regularly anymore.

i am in my stupid sling typing left handed. HATE IT! I have always wondered about the ginormus boobs. really, how does she play with those??????

so tacky. i feel like they shouldn't let her wear them while playing.

LOL! I would have never thought about it if you hadn't asked me.
Great blog. Yeah, what's up with those earrings? If the tennis ball got caught in one of those puppies, she'd be down for the count.
Heck, I take off my watch, tiny earrings and ring just to play tennis. I wouldn't dare play with giant hoops waiting to be ripped out of my ears.
That is a good friggin' question... funny post.
Personally, I think they look stupid. I think athletes wearing jewelery is stupid (we're watching the Olympic track qualifiers right now). Sheesh.
I would be so self concious with them on and afraid of ripping my earlobe.

Okay, please tell me Serena did not really say that quote you have on your sidebar. Are you kidding me?
