My husband is almost home from work, so I have to make this a quickie! (Ohhh, that sounded dirty!)
Anyway...I was in Barnes and Noble last night and I saw this book. "Problogger: Secrets for Blogging Your Way to a Six-Figure Income."
Did I buy it? No. I got Chelsea Handler's book "Are you there vodka? It's me, Chelsea." But that's the subject of another post.
Anyway, it got me thinking. Do any of you actually make money off your blog? Do you aspire to it? Do you know anyone who does???
Okay, that's it for now. Thanks for the quickie...I just hear a car door slam and a key turning in my front door. Catch you tomorrow.

Oh, I was so hoping for comments on this one. I'm very curious too. I make nothing, have gotten no free offers, and don't know how one does -- though I know that others do. I'm curious how that all starts too.
Did you know the author has this blog too?
http://www.problogger.net/
I do not make money and have never even wanted to - it just never crossed my mind.
I did get my current job because I was a blogger not that they had a clue about my personal blog but I was able to talk intelligently about it while all of the other candidates had no clue :)
oh my gosh i laughed at your little funny on the side- i show up at tennis sometimes with diet coke and a protein bar - breakfast of champions! and do tell- are you a closet blogger!??????
I think it's obvious all I get from my blog is carpal tunnel syndrome.
I love Chelsea Handler, I'm definitely going to have to get her book. I don't make money and I don't want to. Well I guess I wouldn't mind... but I don't want to have to spend anymore time at the computer than I already do.
i make no money but have gotten some free products. that guy has a blog as well.
I don't make money off of it, and I don't really care to. It's just not something I want to do for money. Yaknow?
No, no money here. My blog is not even known to my family. They don't get it. They would laugh. So I've just stayed quiet about it. I think to make money I would have to come out of the closet, so to speak.
No money here honey! Part of me wants to but other doesn't. Not about that for me.
Just saw the Diet Coke bong. I'm in my second week of having given up soda....that picture made me cry.
A friend of mine who is a freelancer recommended that book to me too. I'm thinking about trying to make money off my blog, because I think it could help me SAHM in the future, but no real plan yet.
I think you'd have to have at least 1000 hits a day to make it worthy. Someone had all of this info on her blog but can't recall. It's funny, the blogs I love and read daily are the simple ones, the ones who don't get over 40 comments a day. The ads make it look so busy too.
No money here. Blogging is fairly new to me and I do it for the fun and friends I have made in the process. I can't imagine cramming ads for adult diapers or weight loss supplements on the side of my pretty pink blog.
Hi there! I'm usually a lurking reader of your blog. But every so often I come out and say hi and tell you that I really enjoy your blog. I have one too, but I don't make money off of it. Maybe I don't get enough readership to make it worth it for any advertiser to even try...lol I would love to make money off of my blog, so long as I don't have to censor what I say.
Haha, I wish I made money, but I don't, it's not why I write. Some of the bigger names in the blogosphere do, I think Dooce is one of them, though unfortunately I never really got into her blog. I'm still struggling just to keep writing regularly. Thankfully I have a few people who visit regardless of how bad or irregular my posts are.
I read Chelsea's book a few week's ago. She cracks me up on In The Motherhood, but man she is a crazy person. Makes me feel better about myself and less alcoholic too! Kind of trashy but lots of fun to read.
No money on my blog. I have enough low paying part time jobs as it is.
I don't make any money blogging, but could probably make more money in the business I own if I spent more time selling and less time blogging...hee-hee.
Not even close to 1000 hits a day...
I don't like blogs with ads--they aren't attractive and are truthfully kind of a turn-off. KWIM? Just say no to ads!
