The Bronx Zoo Cable Car Ride "Skyfari" has malfuctioned, with an impending lightening storm!!!
Over 40 people were stranded for over 2 hours and rescuers had to go up on cranes to get them down.
Why do I mention this? Because I was on this ride on Father's Day, with my husband and 2 daughters...and let me tell you, those cars are WAY up high. 150 feet to be exact.
I would be sh-tting bricks, literally if this happened to me. Scary stuff.

I'm having some heart palpitations too! We were just there over memorial day - I was scared on that thing!
oh my gosh.....the thought of my kids in it ....
I'm scared just looking at the photo!
horrifying, butterflies in my stomach at the mere thought. Note to self, never ride one of those things!!!
One of my worst nightmares........
Thank goodness nobody got hurt! That's the exact reason I wouldn't go on one of those things. Eons ago when I was a kid, they had one of those at the Six Flags (St. Louis) that malfunctioned and a lady got killed. They took it out after that.
That's scary. I've never been on a ride like that...my mom would never let me. I'm so glad she wouldn't budge on that one.
The following story would have been:
Insane pregnant lady cursing like a sailor on the riding thingy smacks the piss out of rescue workers in her terror
...had that been me up there.
That is why my behind stays on the ground. Hell to the no on that crap.
OMG I would have freaked out soooooo bad!!!!
Oh my gosh! That reminds me of the Roosevelt Tram malfunction last year... *shudder*
I'm getting a little nervous about the whole ride thingy anyway these days...
I once got stuck in a similar ride in Great Adventure years and years ago. The scariest part is not being high, it's really examining the contraption holding your cars in the air, ya know, those twisted metal cords...yep, not as big and thick as you think they are.
Thank advantage cipher got hurt! That's the exact acumen I wouldn't go on one of those things. Eons ago if I was a kid, they had one of those at the Six Flags (St. Louis) that malfunctioned and a adult got killed. They took it out afterwards that.
